Wildlife Studio: www.wildlifestudio.net
Spitz Records is affiliated with a new professional recording studio, with rates as low as £100 per day. Located 22 miles south of San Francisco, Wildlife Studio is a non-profit organisation designed to play a small part in enhancing the quality of music all of us hear every day by offering musicians the opportunity to take their time to record in a relaxed, comfortable environment within five minutes walking distance from the beach. The studio, equipped with four state-of-the-art mic pre-amps, offers the capability of recording in analog onto a 2-inch 24-track tape machine or in digital using ProTools, and of transferring from analog to digital while preserving the quality of the analog sound.
The studio space is divided into three acoustically treated rooms: a control room, an iso/vocal booth, and a larger
recording room with an upright piano. For more detailed info on the recording equipment, please check
the equipment list on
www.wildlifestudio.net - or to listen to some songs that have been recorded there, go
to music samples. More
pictures of the studio can be seen on
the photos page. Local bands that
have recorded at Wildlife Studio include Persephone's Bees, Sugar & Gold and Invisible Cities. Other artists who have recorded
at Wildlife Studio include Tony Gilkyson (guitarist with X for ten years) and Martika.
